How to Download an Entire Pinterest Board (and the Limits You Should Know)

Boards are where Pinterest's real value lives: months of carefully collected ideas around one theme. Exporting a board gives you an offline mood board, a backup of your own curation, or a reference pack for a design project.

The quick way

1. Open the board and copy its URL — it looks like pinterest.com/username/board-name/. Don't know the exact slug? Build it with the URL finder.
2. Paste it into the board downloader.
3. Preview the pins, then press Download all as ZIP.

What's inside the ZIP

• Images numbered in board order, each at the largest size Pinterest exposes publicly.
• manifest.json: for every file, the pin URL and source image — perfect for crediting later.
• README.txt describing the rules used.

The 50-pin limit

Pinterest's public board feed returns approximately the 50 most recent pins to logged-out visitors. We show the board's total pin count next to the number exported, so you always know whether the export is complete. For larger boards, work section by section (each section has its own URL) or collect specific pins in the bulk downloader.

Videos on boards

Video pins are included as their cover image to keep the ZIP fast. In the preview grid, video pins have a Video link that opens them in the video downloader, where you can choose the exact resolution.

Using the export

• PureRef / Milanote / Figma: drag the whole folder in to build a reference board.
• Presentations: numbered files keep the board's order in Keynote or PowerPoint.
• Backups: keep the manifest so you can find the original pins if you need to credit or revisit them.

Private and secret boards

Secret boards are only visible to their owner and collaborators. We don't access them, and you should avoid any tool that asks for your Pinterest password to do so.
