You can view public pins without a Pinterest account and save their files with a web downloader for offline use. Download before you travel, keep files in one folder, and remember private boards and some features need a login.

You do not need a Pinterest account to look at most public pins, and you do not need one to save a copy for later viewing. This guide covers what works without logging in and how to prepare content for times when you have no signal.
What is visible without an account
Public pins can be opened in any browser by visiting their link. Pinterest may show a sign-up prompt after a few pins, but the individual pin page still loads. Private boards, secret boards and content restricted by the creator are not visible to logged-out visitors, and no downloader can or should change that.
Saving pins without logging in
- Open the pin and copy its link. On a phone you can ask a friend to share it, or copy it from a search result.
- Paste the link into PinSaveHD. We never ask for a Pinterest login.
- Choose the file and save it. It now lives on your device and opens without internet.
Preparing for a flight or a trip
- Recipes and tutorials: save the video and also the image of the ingredient list if the pin includes one.
- Travel ideas: save the image and copy the pin description, which often contains the place name. The caption copier makes this quick.
- Craft patterns: for multi-page Idea Pins, save every page with the Idea Pin downloader.
Saving a whole board
The board downloader exports the recent public pins of a board as a ZIP, built in your browser. Pinterest only shows logged-out visitors a limited number of recent pins per board, so very large boards may not be complete. We show the total count alongside the number exported so you know.
Pinterest's own offline options
If you do have an account, the Pinterest app keeps some recently viewed content cached, but this is not reliable for planned offline use and can be cleared at any time. A saved file is predictable: it is there until you delete it.
What not to expect
- Comments, likes and live updates are not part of a saved file.
- Links inside a pin still need internet to open.
- Private content stays private.
Respect the creator
Offline copies for personal reference are the most common reason people save pins. Reposting or selling someone else's work is a different matter; see Is it legal and safe? for the basics.
Storage planning
Videos take far more space than images. Before a long trip, check how much free space your phone has and save the highest resolution only for the clips you will actually watch. For recipes and tutorials, a medium resolution is usually perfectly readable and uses a fraction of the storage.
Checking your offline copies
Turn on airplane mode before you leave and open a few of the saved files. It is the only sure way to confirm that everything you need is really on the device and not just a link that will fail without signal.
