On iPad, use Safari: paste the pin link into the downloader, tap Download, then find the file in Files › Downloads and save it to Photos. On Chromebook, files go to Files › Downloads, from where you can move them to Google Drive.

Guides usually cover iPhone, Android and Windows. iPads and Chromebooks behave a little differently, so here are the specifics.
iPad (iPadOS, Safari)
- In the Pinterest app, open the pin, tap Share and choose Copy link. In Safari, open the pin and copy the address.
- Open PinSaveHD in Safari. iPadOS often requests the desktop version of websites; the tool works the same either way.
- Paste the link and tap Download next to the size you want.
- Safari asks to confirm the download. Tap Download.
- Open the downloads arrow in the toolbar, or the Files app → Downloads.
Moving a video into Photos
In Files, long-press the video, choose Share, then Save Video. Images can be saved the same way, or by long-pressing the image in the result card and choosing Save to Photos.
Split View tip
On iPad you can keep Pinterest and Safari side by side. Drag a pin's link from one into the paste box in the other to save a few taps.
Chromebook (ChromeOS)
- Open the pin on pinterest.com in Chrome and copy the address bar.
- Paste it into PinSaveHD and press Enter.
- Click Download. The file goes to the Downloads folder in the Files app.
Saving to Google Drive
In Chrome's settings you can choose a download location, including a folder in Google Drive, or move files from the Files app into Drive afterwards.
Android apps on Chromebook
If you use the Pinterest Android app on a Chromebook, the share menu's Copy link works as on a phone. Paste the link into Chrome rather than another app.
Common snags on both
- Video opens instead of downloading: use the Download button in the result card, not a long-press on the preview.
- Nothing happens: check that pop-ups or downloads are not blocked for the site.
- Storage is full: large videos need free space; tablets with little storage fill up fast.

Keyboard shortcuts that help
With a keyboard attached to an iPad or on any Chromebook, the usual shortcuts work: select the address bar with Command-L or Ctrl-L, copy with Command-C or Ctrl-C, switch to the PinSaveHD tab and paste with Command-V or Ctrl-V, then press Enter. It is the fastest way to save several pins in a row.
Saving several pins at once
For more than a handful of pins, collect their links in a note, then paste them all into the bulk downloader, up to twenty at a time. On a Chromebook the files arrive in Downloads; on an iPad, Safari lists each download in the downloads panel.
School and work devices
Managed Chromebooks and iPads may block downloads or certain websites. If the Download button does nothing on a school or work device, it is likely a device policy rather than a fault. Ask the administrator rather than trying to bypass it.
